Couldn’t be prouder! Hugh, on behalf of ACFEA, was the highest bidder on this year’s commission contribution from composer Shawn Crouch. I was even more excited when we made the collaborative decision that no other group would be a more appropriate recipient than the Boston Children’s Chorus. For anyone who doesn’t know what BCC does, check them out at www.bostonchildrenschorus.org. They’re a truly fantastic organization. The group is embarking on a GROUNDBREAKING tour in 2013 (destination-related secrets will be divulged at a later date) and I am so happy that they will be able to work with Shawn on something very special that they can take with them to…um…that place.
