Our Team
Tour Managers
Our North American Tour Managers have traveled extensively, visiting new places in order to deepen their understanding of concert tour possibilities. The odds are they fell in love with touring well before working at ACFEA – likely, as a performer on a tour of their own.
Hugh Davies
President, North America
Hugh Davies has been with ACFEA since 1986. Before that, he was a music teacher in Australia, and prior to that a professional singer. Born in England, he started his singing career as a boy chorister and went on to sing with such ensembles as King’s College Choir, the Monteverdi Choir, and American Bach Soloists. He served on the board of Chorus America, and lives in the San Francisco area.
Amanda Bauman
Senior Tour Manager
Amanda is a Senior Tour Manager in the Philadelphia office. She has been performing in bands and choirs her entire life, including several ensembles at her alma mater, Duquesne University, and the Young New Yorkers’ Chorus, for which she also served as board member for several years. Amanda currently sings in the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia.
Sara Brown
Tour Administrator
Hailing from just outside of Philadelphia, Sara has been singing in choirs since age 10. She has a B.A. in Dance from Denison University, and has been a member of Singing City Choir since 2005. In 2013, she co-founded the chamber choir, PhilHarmonia, and serves as its executive director. Sara also does production and front-of-house management for local performing arts organizations.
Rachel Flamm
Tour Manager
Originally from the Chicago area, Rachel sang with the Palatine Children’s Chorus and studied at Carleton College in Minnesota, where she played clarinet and sang with the Carleton Choirs. She has an MBA from Washington State University and sings with the Northwest Chamber Chorus.
Jonah Heinen

Jonah hails from Minnesota where he taught high school choir for four years and led students on two domestic tours. He also advocated for LGBTQ+ students by co-advising the school’s Gender-Sexuality Alliance. He has degrees from the University of Minnesota and the University of Oregon. He currently serves as Adjunct Choral Director at the University of Puget Sound and sings with Choral Arts Northwest in Seattle.
Emily Henriksen

Emily grew up in Missouri where she sang with the St. Louis Children’s Choir. She received degrees in Music and Magazine Journalism from Drake University, during which time she studied in Paris and toured Europe with the university’s choir.

She has lived in Mexico, Spain, France and Ireland, and she holds a master’s degree in Community Music from the University of Limerick, Ireland. She performs with Mariachi Femenil Orgullo Mexicano, San Francisco’s premier all-female mariachi band.
Jefferson Packer

Now in his tenth season with ACFEA, Jefferson is a lifelong singer and pianist who began touring internationally as a performer while a student at Harvard University. He has lived in Greece and Italy, and toured Germany and the Czech Republic as Manager of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Jeffery Thyer

Jeffery grew up in Indiana and he holds a bachelor’s degree in Church Music and a master’s degree in Choral Conducting. Previously, he worked for DCINY and ACDA. He currently sings with Philadelphia’s Singing City Choir. He enjoys singing, traveling, public radio, classical music, cooking, water skiing and minigolf.
