Congratulations to the Dalton School Chorus from New York City, who raised over €600 for three charities in Wangen, Germany. The benefit concert was at Wangen's beautiful Spitalkirche, where the choir presented a program including pieces by Pergolesi, Bruckner, Morley and Brunner. "Wangen was an enchanting town; they really pulled out the stops for us. Such lovely people," said Judy Wohlreich, of the school. The choir members were also guests in the homes of several generous local hosts, a tour highlight for many.
Welcome to ACFEA's journal. Come along as we share stories from the road, from the alto section, or just from our desk. We'll also share stories and updates from our groups as we look back on shining moments from their tours.
I had the pleasure of traveling with the Rocky Mountain Children’s Choir Summit Singers this March on its tour of Washington, DC. It was exciting for me to get to know this unique group and its refreshing take on touring. While the group is great in typical formal performance, what the singers really enjoy on tour are outreach opportunities.
